| Designing Your Custom Rod Here at Skeet's we don't mass produce rods. We build each one to your specifications. One of the most important parts of building your custom rod is obtaining your input. In order for us to build the rod of your dreams we need to know how you fish and what you'd like to achieve with your new fishing rod. Therefore, we start the design process with a free personal consultation. We also invite anyone who is interested in purchasing a rod to visit our workshop to learn more about the rod building process and hand select the blank for your rod. We realize not everyone can visit our shop, so we have also developed an online process for designing your custom built fishing rod. By completing a series of steps online we can gather all the information we need from you to design your rod. Once you've completed the consultation process you will have the opportunity to choose the length, handle style, reel seat, and guides used to build your rod. Next you will have the opportunity to truly personalize your rod by selecting the thread colors, decal designs, blank colors, and inscription to be placed on your rod. Once you have completed this process we will be able to create a price quote for you. You will receive this quote in the form of an email. You will then have the opportunity to order your rod either through our online store or by contacting us via phone or email. Orders placed online through our store will be charged the full cost of the rod including applicable taxes and shipping. For orders placed via email or over the phone we require receipt of a deposit in the amount of 50% of the total cost of the rod before we will begin construction. The remaining balance and any shipping and handling costs will be due at the time the rod is completed and must be received at the time of customer pick-up or before the rod is shipped. We accept cash, checks, Visa, and Mastercard Charges as acceptable forms of payment. |
